The seminar was taken by a guest speaker Mrs Evan Eziaku titled ,
Mother’s Role in Raising Future Leaders.

Parenting styles and how it helps to shape or mar the lives of the leaders of tomorrow.

Mrs Eziaku talked about parenting styles ,some of which are
The Authoritarian style, this is where children are to be seen and not heard, this style of leadership is based on rules, punishment regardless of how the children feel. It is void of love , cordiality. Secondly, is Neglectful and uninvolved Parents ,this is a style where the mother is too busy and uninvolved with affairs of her children, leaving such children with low self esteem. Then the Permissive mother , this mother can be loving and caring in her own way, but the style can be likened to Laizze faire ,where children are left to do what ever they like.

Another parenting style is the Authoritative mother, this mother builds a solid relationship with her children, she is caring and supportive . She carefully moulds the children to become what God has ordained them to be .

Lastly is the free range parent , this ensures that children are given whatever their heart desires.

She talked about way forward, which is to train children up in the way of the lord as parents are only custodians on earth.

The sermon of the one convention was taken by Mrs Adenike Irabor

Still on the same theme .Change she said can either be positive or negative. A Christian women should be seen as an agent of positive change, women in time past have helped change the narrative of the world. To be an agent of change , it is expected of a woman to have a clear vision ,in order to lead an impactful life . Patience, knowledge and persistence are other key factors. Mrs Irabor emphasized on the need to be knowledgeable and lead by example. She further stated that a Christian woman can only have positive impact in the church and the society at large by her way of life , godly conduct and good character .

She rounded up by giving some biblical agents of change : Rehab, Deborah , Hannah and Queen Esther etc

An agent of transformation is selfless in all her conducts .

Six women comprising of 3 groups took part in the bible quiz , these groups are : team Love, team Grace and team Mercy.
The quiz questions was based on the book of Esther.

At the end of the quiz, team Grace and team Mercy had a tie .

Team Mercy emerged as the winner of the quiz in a tie breaker round with team Grace second and team Love third place.

AHQ Coordinator,Mrs Ajagwaigbo gave her vote of thanks and Mrs Ishaya gave the closing prayers.
